Smoking is a huge problem of public health. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that each and every year more than 4.9 million people die all over the world as consequence of tobacco habit. Smoking is killing more people than any disease known on earth. This death toll is going to rise and there are studies that point to an expectable number of 10 million deaths in direct consequence of smoking, in the years 2020/30 to come. It's a global and epidemic problem that needs to be solved.

Tobacco is known by the addiction that causes, mainly because it contains a powerful drug, the nicotine, that is in fact the responsible for all the addiction symptoms a smoker fells each time he or her tries to quit. Nicotine is a psychoactive drug, like cannabis, that causes changes in behaviour, consciousness and mood due to the fact that it alters the brain functioning. The path that leads from the first smoking experience to true dependency is very short, be aware of that.There are more than 400 toxic and irritating chemicals substances in a sole cigarette. From those, more then 40 are carcinogenic and have the ability to trigger all sort of oncological diseases. But the risk is not only for the smoker health, its present for all of those that are no smokers and are exposed to the so called second hand smoke. The risk for no smokers to became ill because of smoke is very high and that's the cause for one to refrain smoking in their presence. Children are the most affe cted group, studies say.
